Some People asked me today, what should I do when the network segment displayed by the router conflicts with the IP address of the LAN port when setting up the router to access the Internet?
Therefore, Brother Hong compiled this article to record the solution to this problem and some precautions.
First of all, when Brother Hong needs to tell everyone, the router shows that the network segment conflicts with the IP address of the LAN port; this problem only existed in some old wireless routers before.
At present, major wireless router manufacturers and newly launched wireless routers will automatically modify the network segment of the LAN port IP address when detecting this problem, so that there will be no conflict between the WAN port network segment and the LAN port IP address.
Some routers may show that the IP address of the router's WAN port and the IP address of the LAN port cannot be in the same network segment; this problem is actually the same as the IP address conflict between the network segment and the LAN port.
Ok, back to the topic. If your router prompts that the network segment conflicts with the IP address of the LAN port, or the IP address of the WAN port and the LAN port cannot be on the same network segment,
The solution at this point is to log in to your router's settings interface, find and open the "LAN Port Settings" or "LAN Settings" option, and modify your router's IP address, as shown in the figure below.
How much has the IP address of the router's LAN port changed? Many novice students may ask this question again; if you do not know how to change the IP address of the LAN port, please read the following section carefully.
If the IP address of your router's LAN port is now: 192.168.0.1, then it can be changed to: 192.168.1.1, 192.168.2.1, 192.168.3.1, 192.168.4.1, etc.
If the IP address of your router's LAN port is now: 192.168.1.1, then it can be changed to: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.2.1, 192.168.3.1, 192.168.4.1, etc.
According to the above two rules, you can modify the IP address of the current LAN port of your router.
Additional information
The router's setting interface cannot be accessed if the original login address is used.
Then, please enter the IP address of the router's modified LAN port in the browser, and the router's setup interface can be opened.
A brief overview of the issue:
(1) the network segment clashes with the LAN IP address, the WAN IP address and the LAN IP address cannot coexist in the same network segment, and so on.It used to only appear on some old wireless routers, but the current wireless routers on the market do not encounter this problem.
(2) You can resolve the conflict between the router's WAN network segment and the local area network IP address by modifying your own router's local area network IP address. The previous article introduced the principle of modifying the IP address of the LAN port in detail.
